Renewable Energy Systems (RES), a wind energy company, built a Vestas V29-225kW wind turbine at their head office in September 2003, at Kings Langley, Hertfordshire - the first wind turbine visible from the M25.

The turbine, with a hub height of 36 metres and a rotor diameter of 29 metres, works alongside other renewable energy technologies that can provide all the heat, power and cooling needed for their environmentally-friendly offices and sends excess electricity to the grid.

A website dedicated to the company headquarters, presents data on the wind turbine’s daily electricity production since 01 November 2003.
